OptoDerm Instant Lift is a unique complex of silicates with a hyaluronic acid crosspolymer. It forms a strong, flexible moisturising film over your skin, to physically lift wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural structural component of skin and is present in connective tissue throughout the body. It is considered to have superior moisture retention properties than any other natural or synthetic polymer. Waglerin-1 peptide mimics the neuromuscular blocking compound of the venom of the Temple Viper. Acting at the post-synaptic membrane, it is a reversible antagonist of the muscular nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (mnAChR). The tri-peptide binds to the epsilon subunit of the mnAChR which prevents binding of acetylcholine to the receptor; consequently it remains closed. In the closed state, there is no uptake of sodium ions (Na ) and the muscles stay relaxed. OptoDerm Instant Lift’s effect should last around 10 hours, depending on the condition of your skin and expression line movements during the day. We recommend it for the area under the eyes only but it may work on other areas too, with some experimentation. It is highly moisturising and does not require any additional moisturisers.
